Gold for Life 2010

The Jills & Hope international, Palm Island, Miami

Gold for life was an evening celebration filled with unique gold art & lifestyle for a good cause.

The event's purpose was to give a gift of gold to " a Gift for life" foundation that funds research for pediatric cancer founded by Paula Roldos and "United Aliens Artists Fund," which teaches art to underprivileged children worldwide by Olga Ortiz Mera. Many artists exhibit their art.

Balloon-a-Palooza

Balloon-a-Palooza at the Mitchell Park Domes was an annual event that showcased the creativity and talent of Carmen Ballering and a team of artists from all over the nation. The exhibit's purpose was to raise funds for the Milwaukee County Park's great public treasures, including the summer meal programs for less privileged kids. The balloon art exhibit ran from 2006 to 2008.

Pictures are worth a thousand words, or perhaps, in this case, worth 150,000 latex balloons per year. The unique and fantastic exhibit had balloon sculptures in all shapes & sizes up to 25' long.

The first year, 2005 Balloon-a-Palooza welcomed more than 9,000 adults and children. In 2006 & 2007, the attendance broke the previous record with more than 12,000 visitors per year.

Balloon-a-Palooza was covered by many local media outlets, from television to the Journal Sentinal newspaper. Gus Gnorski from Fox 6 interviewed us each year and television stations from the Fox River Valley and Northern Illinois. In 2006 we were honored with an interview on TMJ4's The Morning Blend talk show.

Carmen changes the event's theme each year, making it unique and different from year to year. All proceeds went to the Milwaukee County Parks. Local businesses sponsored the event.
